"In God We Trust"

Again, not sure if this should be here or in "political" but anyway, here it goes?

Why are people trying to get "In God We Trust" taken off American Currency? Yeah, this country allows religious freedom, but crikie, our founding fathers, the ones pictured on our currency, they wanted that there, our country was founded and based on their ideas and what they wanted, and now we're undermining them. Next thing you know some president is going to @#$% because he did such a great job and wants to stay in office for more than 8 years.

I understand some people aren't religios, i'm not that religious, but it's not something to be offended by. I'm sorry, but it's not.

Same with the anthem or whatever it is we say in elementry school everymorning. Just deal with it. I said that stupid thing every day for 12 years, my kids will to.

Actually, I doubt that your kids will do this. I didnt do this when I was a kid, and I think you would be very hard pressed to find a school who still did do this. People and their "religion" are far too sensitive. If a jewish person gets offended at a christmas tree, but doesnt at the sight of a candelobra, there is something bad wrong here. Not to mention the word "God" on the money. It does not specifiy a god, which is the principle this country was founded on, that could be any god, or if you are an athiest, this could be your dog sparky...The fact is that most people believe in some sort of higher being. BY people assuming that is in reference to the judeo christian god AKA Jesus, they are mistaken and really need to lighten up
